Biography
Jorge Apatiga earned a degree in Actuarial Science from National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where he also completed a master’s in mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics. Jorge is currently pursuing a PhD in Physics-Informed AI at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
Jorge has served as a lecturer at the Faculty of Sciences, UNAM, and has taught in the Quantum Computing summer school at the Faculty of Engineering, UNAM. Professionally, he worked at Aon Risk Solutions as a Business Intelligence Manager, leading a team that served Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
His academic research has focused on phase transitions and quantum tunnelling in polymers, with publications in specialised journals such as Polymers. His current research interests include Quantum Computing Vision and Deepfake Detection.
