Irfan Iltaf is the CIO for BP’s Oil & Gas trading arm, covering the Eastern Hemisphere. He is a member of the Regional Executive Team and the Global Oil Trading Technology Leadership Team. Irfan is responsible for delivering all aspects of technology that support the oil trading business (front to back) within the region: strategy, project delivery and operations (infrastructure and application support). Prior to this role, he was responsible for formulating and delivering global SAP technology strategy for BP, based out of the London office.

Before joining BP in 2005, Irfan led the implementation of multiple SAP transformation projects at Norvatis Pharmaceuticals, based in Switzerland. Previous to that, he held several technical delivery roles in the UK at GE, having started off his career in consulting at Siemens, delivering SAP technical solutions for multiple clients in the manufacturing an distribution industries.

Ïrfan holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Science from the School of Informatics at City University in London and has also completed a Global Executive MBA jointly delivered at London Business School and Columbia Business School (New York).
