Biography
Oyunbileg Bazar graduated from Drexel University with a major in Psychology, where she focused on Neuroscience and Human–Computer Interaction. Her academic and research interests lie at the intersection of psychology, urban planning, and innovative technologies, with a focus on applying behavioral and spatial insights to inform thoughtful, human-centered policy and city design.
During her studies in the United States, she was involved in community-based research and counseling advocacy efforts aimed at improving urban well-being in Philadelphia, which later expanded to global sustainability and climate dialogues at the United Nations COP28 Conference. Her undergraduate research also included work on virtual reality exposure therapy for social anxiety. After graduation, her work continued in her home country, Mongolia, through the Centre for Urban Design and Mental Health, focusing on urban resilience and mental well-being in Ulaanbaatar’s low-income districts and how spatial inequality, community infrastructure, and design interventions can influence quality of life in rapidly urbanizing contexts.
