Kheng Roy

PhD Student

Biography

Roy is a current PhD scholar at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. A former managing editor, Roy is experienced in content production, from print photography to digital media, from lifestyle to business white papers, Roy has published work across different genre’s and styles. He has ghost written content for corporate clients and has had image work published on a magazine cover. He enjoys the process of mentoring young writers.

He likes working with youth and teaching at the tertiary level, he was a lecturer at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Republic Polytechnic where he taught across the communications spectrum, from cross cultural communication, digital content production and effective use of social media, feature writing, to issues in current affairs. He was responsible for the professional development of his students as well as the national education aspects of their learning.

Outside of school he is into making and eating good food, volunteer work in church, motorcycles, photography and gaming.

His current research interests are in communication, youth, video gaming, mobile gaming, and the social consequences aspects of technology.

He believes firmly in paying it forward, remaining relevant and making a difference.
