Master of Science in Design and Artificial Intelligence for Enterprise

Overview

A flagship MOE-accredited AI degree for enterprise impact

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming industries at an unprecedented speed. Organisations today need more than AI users. They need professionals who can design, build, deploy, and lead AI systems responsibly at scale.

The MSc in Design and Artificial Intelligence for Enterprise (MSc DAI-E) is one of SUTD’s flagship MOE-accredited postgraduate programmes in AI. It is designed to develop technically strong, industry-ready leaders who can bridge deep AI expertise with real enterprise impact. It combines in-class foundational knowledge with real-world industry experience via its unique MSc DAI-E Studio projects.

The only subsidised master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence in Singapore

MSc DAI-E is currently the only master’s degree in AI in Singapore that benefits from MOE tuition subsidies for eligible Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents.

A rigorous and comprehensive AI education

The programme consists of 9 carefully structured graduate-level courses, selected from a continuously evolving bank of over 20 specialised modules in AI, design, security, and enterprise systems.

Through these courses, students will develop:

  • Strong foundations in machine learning and deep learning
  • Expertise in modern AI systems and emerging technologies
  • Enterprise-focused design and deployment capabilities
  • Professional readiness, with an awareness of governance, security, and responsible AI practices

The curriculum is built as a coherent progression, moving from technical mastery to system-level thinking and real-world application.

Each cohort follows a structured academic pathway while benefiting from flexibility through elective options and specialty tracks.

Real industry experience, not just coursework

AI is an empirical discipline. Real-world experience matters.

A defining feature of MSc DAI-E is the year-long MSc DAI-E Studio project, where students work on real-world substantial AI projects with industry partners. This extended engagement allows deeper exploration, stronger technical implementation, and meaningful portfolio development.

Industry-ready beyond the classroom

The programme integrates professional development and selected industry certifications within its curriculum, equipping students not only with technical depth, but also with communication, project management, and deployment skills expected in enterprise environments.

Flexible pathways

MSc DAI-E offers three flexible pathways:

  • Full-time (1 year)
  • Part-time (2 years, primarily evening classes)
  • ZJU–SUTD Dual Master Pathway*

All pathways follow the same rigorous academic standards and benefit from available tuition subsidies for eligible Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents.

*Details available soon.

Who should apply?

The MSc DAI-E programme is designed for:

  • Recent graduates (computer science, computer engineering, electrical or electronic engineering, or related fields) seeking advanced AI expertise;
  • Working professionals looking to upskill or pivot into AI; and/or
  • Engineers and technical leaders aiming to implement and deploy AI systems in enterprise contexts.

If you want to move beyond learning AI tools and instead architect AI systems that create real organisational value, MSc DAI-E is designed for you.
