SUTD Key Growth Areas: Cities

23 Jul 2020 Webinar Series

Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing you at our next webinar in the series!

About the Webinar

By 2050, 75% of the world will be living in cities and megacities.

In Asia, urbanisation is a major trend. In fact, six of the top ten largest cities are in Asia. Rapid urbanisation presents great challenges such as housing and population density, mobility and connectivity, sustainability and job creation. But, it also presents tremendous and exciting opportunities for future innovators.

This webinar showcases the range of urban-related research in Southeast Asia conducted by SUTD faculty, focusing on research that will be vital in a post-COVID-19 world. These include "urban health infrastructures and urban resilience" as well as "the future of dense living". It also highlights the ways in which multi-disciplinary research is blended with pedagogy to provide students a unique learning experience throughout their education journey in SUTD.
