Two SUTD postgraduate students listed as Seed Award 2025 winners

Master’s student Aw Jia Zhi Billy (Engineering Product Development) and PhD student Ouyang Fuxi (Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences), are part of the winners list for the Seed Award 2025 awarded by the Design Business Chamber Singapore (DBCS).

In the recently held certificate presentation on 30 January 2026, both winners also did individual presentations:

“Designing human-centred AI for older adults” by Ouyang Fuxi
“Carrying human-centred design into any field” by Aw Jia Zhi Billy

About the Seed Award

The award is presented to students who posses the five designer qualities (Creative Impact, Critical Thinking, Connective Intelligence, Perseverance, and Ethical Decision-Making) and potential to be design leaders in their future careers. Aside from the certificate of recognition, winners will also receive future opportunities, support and collaboration from DBCS.
