Academic innovation

Supporting a new Design·AI minor and second major

The AI Mega Centre has been instrumental in the design and development of a new interdisciplinary Design·AI minor and offering Design·AI as a second major to engineering students. This initiative introduces undergraduates to core AI concepts and hands-on skills in machine learning, data science, and algorithmic thinking. The Centre provides faculty support, technical infrastructure, and industry insights to ensure that the minor remains current, relevant, and impactful.
Capstone and project support

Training on GPU cluster access

To empower students working on real-world problems, we offer dedicated training sessions on using and accessing SUTD’s state-of-the-art GPU cluster. These sessions are tailored for Capstone teams, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students involved in research or coursework. Through hands-on experience with high-performance computing resources, our students can be well-prepared for AI model development, training, and deployment.
Graduate curriculum development

Master of Science in Design and AI for Enterprise (DAI-E)

The AI Mega Centre collaborates closely with academic leadership and course developers in the MSc DAI-E programme, designed to explore the intersection of AI, human-centred design, and enterprise solutions. We provide course materials, case studies, and technical and projects mentorship — ensuring that the curriculum reflects industry demands and academic rigour.
Industry alignment

AWS collaboration and certification pathways

The AI Mega Centre actively establishes partnerships with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to integrate official AWS AI and cloud certifications into the university’s curriculum, for our students to graduate with professionally recognised credentials.
