Student-led SUTD competitive robotics team wins at VEX Robotics Asia Open Signature Event

Participating at the 2025-2026 VEX Robotics Asia Open Signature Event in Beijing, China, SOAR’s competitive robotics team (SCRT) reached the semi-finals and won the Amaze Award — an award for consistently high-performing aepdnd competitive robot.

The team represented SUTD in the VEX University Category at the event which was held from 18 December to 21 December 2025.

SOAR, which stands for SUTD Organisation of Autonomous Robotic, is a Fifth Row student club that builds intelligent robots for various tasks.
