Introduction

Cyber security plays a vital role in defending industrial control systems from the growing and multi-faceted threat of cyber-attacks. As a Centre for Research in Cyber Security, iTrust is at the forefront of pioneering research and innovation to safeguard these systems. To this end, we propose iTrust’s inaugural Critical Infrastructure AI (CI.AI) Challenge.

CI.AI Challenge 2024 is a unique competition that invites and challenges data scientists worldwide to devise, deploy and validate AI-driven solutions that help to enhance security, efficiency, and resilience of ICS, thereby contributing to the fight against cyber threats. Through a series of tasks, participants will have the opportunity to apply their AI expertise to solve real-world security problems that impact ICS.

This challenge is more than a competition; it is a global platform for collaboration, learning, and discovery. Participants will engage with complex cyber scenarios, exchange ideas with peers, and contribute to a body of knowledge that will lead the charge in defining the future of cybersecurity.
