Funded by the Centre for Liveable Cities

The ReGen Cities project is a collaboration between the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities (LKYCIC), SUTD’s Architecture and Sustainable Design pillar, and the Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC) to explore how high-density cities can move beyond sustainability towards regeneration.

The project seeks to develop a globally informed yet locally relevant framework for regenerative cities, identify indicators and tools to measure regenerative outcomes, and build a database of regenerative urban projects. Through international expert engagement, policy review, urban analytics, and case studies, the project aims to support Singapore’s ambition to become a leading regenerative city while contributing new knowledge on how cities can restore ecosystems, strengthen liveability, enhance resource efficiency, and build long-term resilience in a climate-changed future.
