Smart Sustainability Transformation

A growing number of cities across the world are integrating technological infrastructure into municipal operations to improve residents’ lives and solve public problems. As many cities demonstrate, becoming a smart city is a journey, not an overnight transformation. Building on existing work, this study seeks to examine smart city innovation and transformation along three key dimensions: economic prosperity, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability. It will offer 12 case studies, detailing the ways in which specific cities are implementing these innovations.
