Information on presentations

Oral presentations

Please bring your own laptop and connect it to the presentation system. Ensure that your device supports an HDMI connection. If you plan to use the conference-provided laptop, please bring your presentation on a portable storage device (eg, USB flash drive). Note that we cannot guarantee full compatibility with the conference computer — especially for fonts, animations, and embedded videos — so we strongly recommend checking your slides in advance (for example, during coffee breaks or lunch).

To ensure sessions run smoothly and on time, each presentation will be strictly limited to 15 minutes, allocated as follows:

  • 1 minute: Laptop connection and setup
  • 12 minutes: Presentation
  • 2 minutes: Q&A

Once the 15-minute slot has ended, the next speaker will be invited to the stage to set up, even if the current Q&A is still ongoing.

Poster sessions

Your spotlight talks will take place in the same room as the oral presentations. Each presenter will have 2 minutes to give a short introduction using one slide (PDF format). After the spotlight session, we will move to the main hall for the corresponding poster session. All posters must be paper posters brought by attendees. Authors who cannot attend in person are welcome to arrange for colleagues to display and explain their posters, but the conference cannot provide support for remote participation.

  • Spotlight talk format: 1 slide in PDF (submit to mrs2025@sutd.edu.sg by 28 November 2025)
  • Poster format: Printed posters in A0 portrait size (841 mm × 1189 mm or 33.1 in × 46.8 in)
  • Poster setup and takedown: The spotlight session is expected to finish by 4.30PM. You will have 10 minutes to set up your poster. Please remove your poster after your session to allow the next group to set up.

Note: No on-site printing will be available, and no templates are provided.
