Application timeline

Applications for the September 2027 intake are now open until 31 May 2027. Applications are reviewed in batches and applicants are encouraged to apply early.

Criteria for admission

There is one intake for the MTD (Architectural Design Computation) programme each year in September.

 

Applicants should possess the following:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a field related to built environment;
  • Interested candidates with undergraduate degrees in an unrelated discipline may be considered on a case-by-case basis;
  • Students whose language of instruction during undergraduate study is not English are required to present TOEFL-iBT (min. 85) and IELTS Academic (min. 6.0);
  • Related (Capstone) projects and job experience will be considered for admission.

Note: TOEFL/IELTS scores are valid for two years from the test date and should not have expired at the point of application. Expired scores will not be considered for the application.

 

Applicants are requested to submit a portfolio that highlights relevant (Capstone) projects, demonstrating your skills, abilities, and experiences to support your application.

 

All applications are considered holistically by the MTD Admissions Committee. Decision by the MTD Admissions Committee will be final. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission.

Documents to submit

Before starting your online application, please prepare the following documents (in PDF format) / information:

  • NRIC (front and back) for Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents, or Passport (info page) for international applicants
  • Bachelor’s degree and academic transcript
  • Acceptable English Proficiency score report (if applicable)
  • Names, email addresses and institutions/organisations of two referees
  • Statement of Objectives / Personal Statement (approximately 500 words)
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Applications must be accompanied by all required supporting documents to be reviewed.

 

The online application takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Documents not issued in English should be accompanied by an official or certified English translation.

Application fees

All applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of S$21.80 (inclusive of prevailing Goods & Services Tax).

    Complete the online application and pay the application fee.

    Applications will be reviewed in batches.
  5. Interview, where applicable
    Depending on the assessment of the application, applicants may receive a direct offer or be shortlisted for an interview.
  6. Application outcome
    Applicants will be informed of the outcomes by email and/or through the application portal.
