ISTD faculty honoured at SUTD Awards 2026
The Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD) pillar proudly celebrates several faculty members who have been recognised at the SUTD Awards 2026 on 12 August 2026 for their outstanding contributions to education, research, innovation and academic leadership.
Senior Lecturer Natalie Agus received the Outstanding Educator Award (Individual) for her excellence in teaching and dedication to student success. The Data Driven World Teaching Team was also recognised with the Outstanding Educator Award (Team) for delivering impactful learning experiences that equip students with essential data literacy and analytical skills. The team members include:

Associate Professor Park Jihong received the SUTD Champion Award for exemplifying SUTD’s collaborative and enterprising spirit. ISTD faculty members were also awarded prestigious Chair Professorships, among the University’s highest academic honours. Senior Lecturer Natalie Agus was awarded the Provost’s Chair Teaching Professorship, while our Head of Pillar, Professor Li Xiaoli, and Associate Professor Park Jihong received the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple Chair Professorship in recognition of their continued excellence in research, education, innovation and academic leadership.
ISTD faculty members also received notable external recognition. Professor Zhou Jianying was named an IEEE Fellow, one of the highest honours awarded by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, while Assistant Professor Zhang Wenxuan received the Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF) Fellowship, a prestigious award supporting promising researchers with the potential to drive impactful discoveries and innovations.
