Specialty tracks

You may deepen your expertise by selecting electives organised into coherent specialty tracks. While electives may be taken individually, students are encouraged to complete a full specialty track to develop focused domain expertise.

 

Note: Electives offered may vary from term to term and is subject to change.

Track 1: Embodied AI track

Focus: AI systems interacting with the physical world.

 

This track explores how artificial intelligence integrates with robotics, perception systems, and real-world environments. It is ideal for students interested in robotics, autonomous systems, and intelligent physical agents. Recommended to complete all three courses for full expertise.

 

Career directions: Robotics engineer, autonomous systems architect, embodied AI researcher.

 

Electives:

Track 2: Analytics & AI in Operations track

Focus: Data-driven enterprise optimisation and decision systems.

 

This track prepares students to design AI systems that improve operational efficiency, supply chains, and complex enterprise workflows. It is recommended to complete all three courses for strong analytical expertise.

 

Career directions: AI operations strategist, analytics lead, enterprise optimisation specialist.

 

Electives:

Track 3: Human-Centred AI track

Focus: Designing AI systems aligned with human needs and behaviour.

 

This track is ideal for students interested in interaction design, behavioural insights, and AI product leadership.

 

Career directions: AI product manager, human-centred AI designer, innovation leader.

 

Electives:

Track 4: Security and AI track

Focus: Securing AI systems and applying AI to cybersecurity challenges.

 

This track explores the intersection between artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Students learn how to build AI systems that are robust, trustworthy, and resilient against adversarial threats, while also leveraging AI techniques to enhance modern security infrastructures. It is ideal for students interested in AI security, privacy-preserving systems, and trustworthy AI deployment in enterprise environments. It is recommended to complete all three courses for full expertise.
