Rajamanickam Swaminathan

Swaminathan (Swami) is an IT business leader with 40+ years of experience across the Asia Pacific Region in IT services, software development, consulting, data analytics, digital transformation and IT education services. Swami holds a master’s degree in software engineering from the National University of Singapore.
Swami is the Co-founder and Director of Alegre Ventures Pte Ltd, offering advisory and consulting services to educate, enable, and empower the SMEs and non-profit organisations in their digital transformation journey.
A senior member at the Singapore Computer Society (SCS), Swami is one of the founding members (and a current Exco member) of the Business Analytics Chapter in SCS.
Swami is a certified AITP-ICT educator. As an Adjunct Faculty in some of the IHLs and in private schools, including a global management school in Singapore, Swami has been teaching courses on design thinking, business analytics, data analytics, data visualisation, data storytelling, AI/ML and data mining.
As part of his volunteer work, apart from serving in the Red Cross, Singapore, he is an Executive Mentor at NTUC, a Career Mentor at SCS, and also a Students’ Mentor in SINDA. He is also a qualified Volunteer Career Advisor with WSG. Swami has been mentoring and guiding mid-career professionals and final-year graduate students regularly.
Swami has co-authored the book “Transform or Perish-Take Ownership of Your Career Destiny,” published in 2021, in collaboration with Singapore Management University, its alumni, and industry professionals. He is also a co-author of “AI Ethics & Governance Body of Knowledge Ver 2.0”, published in 2024 by SCS.
He is a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) and a practitioner of lifelong learning.
