Learning objectives and structure
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the role, value and limitations of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in organisational and sector contexts.
- Apply Design·AI methods to frame problems, analyse scenarios and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Evaluate AI use cases with consideration for governance, risk, feasibility and organisational readiness.
- Develop an action plan for integrating AI into team workflows, service delivery or decision-making processes.
Day 1
- Introduction to course objectives, learning outcomes and workplace relevance
- Design·AI foundations: relationship between design, AI and technology in organisational contexts
- AI for decision-making: opportunities, limitations, risks and governance considerations
- Workplace and sector use cases: scenario analysis, job redesign and innovation opportunities
- Guided opportunity-mapping: identifying priority business or service challenges for AI application
- Hands-on practical: using AI tools for ideation, trend analysis and solution exploration
- Action planning workshop: translating insights into feasible team or organisational initiatives
- Group presentation and feedback on proposed AI application/action plan
Assessment
Class participation, practical exercises, group discussion, and in-class presentation of an AI application or action plan
