Student Researcher Programme (SRP)

Objectives

The SRP is designed to build manpower that fulfils Singapore’s needs in cyber security. While several educational programs offered by the local Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) — universities and polytechnics — have a similar objective, the SRP offers a complementary opportunity for local IHL students train in an environment with rarely-available hardware and software infrastructure.

SRP criterion

SRP will offer internships to local IHL students in Computer Science and Engineering.

SRP duration

The minimum SRP duration for a student researcher is 4 weeks. There is no upper limit on the time a student researcher spends in iTrust. Each student researcher will be assigned a mentor upon entry. The mentor may change based on the evolution of activities.

Stipend

Student researchers may receive a stipend, fixed by iTrust, during their period of engagement in the programme.

Current SUTD students may receive a stipend under the Students @ Part-time Work Scheme.
