The China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Administrative Committee (ECAC), Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development Co., Ltd. (SSTEC), and SUTD signed this strategic MOU at the first China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Economic Forum yesterday.

Under this MOU, the three parties will carry out strategic cooperation in three major areas – people-to-people and cultural exchanges, education and training and scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship, to support the Eco-City's growth into a leading low-carbon, smart and sustainable city, further deepening the cooperation and exchanges between Singapore and China in the fields of science and education.

Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of National Development and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, delivered a speech at the forum by video, emphasising that climate change is a global challenge that must be overcome, presenting an opportunity for collaboration between China and Singapore to play their respective roles.

The China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Economic Forum was hosted by SSTEC. Nearly 1,000 government representatives and business leaders from Singapore and China participated in this hybrid event.
