Criteria for Admission

Use this application form only if you are applying with A-Level Certifications from UK, Sri Lankan, Hong Kong or Brunei. You should have taken at least three Advanced level subjects within the same sitting. Please submit only one electronic application form as duplicate applications would not be processed.

If you are applying with predicted results as attested by your high school or Advanced Subsidiary Level results, please submit SAT Subject Test scores in Mathematics Level II and Physics to supplement your application. Alternatively, you may opt to take the SUTD University Entrance Examination (UEE) in lieu of the SAT Subject Tests. 

You would need to upload the following documents in PDF format to the online application form.

  1. Passport particulars page (Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents must provide Singapore Identity Card. International students must submit passport particulars page)
  2. Academic results 
    • O-Level or IGCSE (with numerical scores) or junior high school equivalent examination results slips/transcripts.
    • Actual Advanced Level results (with numerical scores) or Advanced Subsidiary Level results (for those who have yet to receive the actual A-Level results). Those applying with Advanced Subsidiary Level results, must submit the actual Advanced Level results (with numerical scores) within 3 days following the official release date
    • University academic transcripts (for current or former university student)
    • (optional) IELTS, TOEFL, SAT (previously known as SAT Reasoning Test or SAT 1), Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic), ACT or C1 Advanced / Cambridge English: Advanced
    • (compulsory for applicants applying with Advanced Subsidiary Level results) SAT Subject Tests in Mathematics Level II and Physics OR SUTD UEE
    • Applicants who are taking SAT (with essay component) and/or SAT Subject Tests, please also request for College board to send us the SAT score(s) electronically. SUTD Institution Code is 6532
  3. At least one testimonial / recommendation letter from Principal / high school teacher (preferably teaching Maths / Science)
  4. Co-curricular activities and any other supplemental documents (if any)
