The Masonic Charitable Fund - SUTD Bursary

The Masonic Charitable Fund - SUTD Bursary is established to provide financial assistance to deserving undergraduates pursuing their studies at SUTD.


  • Open to Singapore CItizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Full-time undergraduate students of the University in any year of study and enrolled in any undergraduate degree programme
  • Demonstrated financial need with monthly household Per Capita Income of S$2,250 and below, or the prevailing upper limit for monthly household Per Capita Income as specified by the Ministry of Education for the eligibility criteria for the Higher Education Bursary
  • Good academic standing
  • Active in Fifth Row and community service involvement will be advantageous


  • Each Bursary Award is tenable for one year only
  • Recipients may reapply to be considered for the Bursary Award in their subsequent year of study, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria

Benefits of Award

  • S$6,500 per academic year
  • The Bursary Award is strictly for tuition fees and study-related expenses only
  • No bond attached

Things to Note

Bursary recipients must take up the Tuition Fee Grant Subsidy by the Singapore Government


No repayment required. The Bursary Award must be refunded in part or in full if student withdraws from studies or have his/her studies terminated prematurely.

The Masonic Charitable Fund [MCF] was approved by Singapore Ministry of Education as an Educational Charity on 29 November 2019.
The MCF initiative was announced by District Master who is the MCF’s Patron and Founder’s Representative at the Annual Communication Banquet in Dec 2019 in Ipoh, Malaysia

This fund is aimed at providing educational assistance to deserving Singapore beneficiaries comprising Singaporeans and permanent residents
