NEON — SUTD Scholarship

The NEON — SUTD Scholarship is established to encourage academic and learning excellence by attracting outstanding talent to pursue their undergraduate education at SUTD.
 

ELIGIBILITY

The Scholarship is open to Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents who

  • are full-time undergraduates enrolled at the University in any year of study and in any of the following degree programmes: ASD, CSD, EPD, ESD

  • have good academic standing

  • possess strong leadership potential, integrity and good character

  • are active in Fifth Row (co-curricular activities) and community service involvement

  • special consideration will be given for candidates with demonstrated financial need
     

BENEFITS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP

  • The Scholarship is valued at up to S$15,000 per academic year and is tenable for one (1) Academic Year. Successful recipients may apply for the Scholarship in the subsequent Academic Year, subject to meeting the prevailing eligibility criteria.

  • The Scholarship will be used towards the annual subsidised tuition fees (after the Tuition Grant Subsidy) and other study-related expenses.

  • No bond is required under the terms of this Scholarship.The recipient must take up the Tuition Grant Subsidy from the Singapore Government.
     

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Successful recipients may be granted internship and/or career opportunities with the donor or the donor affiliated companies. 

  • Recipients are required to complete at least 10 hours of service to the University. They may take on the role of student ambassador, or any other similar role, representing SUTD to give publicity talks, to receive guests, etc., as and when called upon to do so.​

  • Recipients may not, without the approval of the University, hold concurrently any other scholarships or grants.

  • The scholarship may be withdrawn at any time if, in the opinion of the University, the recipient’s academic progress or conduct is deemed unsatisfactory.

  • If the recipient decides to terminate the scholarship prematurely, SUTD reserves the right to impose a repayment on a case-by-case basis.
     

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

  • Existing students who are eligible will be invited to apply via MyPortal.

  • Late and incomplete submissions will not be processed.

  • Scholarships are awarded on the basis of competition among eligible applicants.

  • SUTD reserves the right not to award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.
