DIVE Global Immersions (DGI)
DGI (1-week) programmes
DGI (1-week) programmes provide short overseas learning experiences that introduce undergraduate students to organisations, industries, and local contexts across Asia.
Anchored in themes of Design·AI, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability, these programmes offer early overseas exposure, allowing students to experience how local organisations, institutions and communities operate in different environments in the host country.
They support the goals of DIVE by helping students connect academic learning with real-world contexts, industry practices, and regional perspectives.
Programmes are delivered in collaboration with host universities, institutions, or local programme partners, depending on the destination and programme design.
Programme activities
Activities may include:
- Site visits to companies, start-ups, or local organisations in the host country
- Discussions with professionals, entrepreneurs, and/or academics
- Workshops or practical learning sessions organised by host institutions
- Exposure to local industries and organisational practices
- Cultural activities that offer cultural context to the local environment
Specific activities may vary depending on the programme partner and destination.
Learning outcomes
Depending on the programme design, students may be required to produce deliverables such as:
- Reflections on their learning experiences
- Group presentations
- Documentation of programme activities
- Ideas or observations related to the topics explored during the programme

Who can apply?
DGI (1-week) programmes are primarily intended for SUTD undergraduate students, particularly Freshmore students, as an early global exposure opportunity.
If places remain available, applications may be opened to students from other undergraduate year levels.
