It gives students the space to explore, the structure to build, and the support to lead—while nurturing the ability to dream boldly, act ethically, communicate clearly, and tell stories that move people.

A developmental pathway woven into your time at SUTD
Design your own pathways of impact — discovering problems, building ventures, shaping change. You can join DIVE activities at any point in your SUTD journey — from Freshmore to Capstone years — depending on your readiness and interests. Participation is voluntary, not credit bearing.
DIVE Components
Undergraduate
Students who complete all key components are recognised as “Deep DIVErs”.
The ‘Explore – Experiment – Expose – Enterprise’ DIVE journey guides you through this adventure.
DIVE Residential College (RC)
In your Freshmore year (3 terms), live and learn in a community focussed on entrepreneurship, empathy, and ethics.
Baby Shark Fund
Every big leap starts with a small push: funding, mentorship, and feedback loops to support you as you experiment on your innovative concept.
Global Innovation Internships (GII)
Up to 12 months in leading innovation ecosystems across cities such as Toronto, Stockholm, Hangzhou and the Greater Bay Area.
Design-2-Venture (D2V) Grant
Embark on a venture of your own design: enter incubation, receive grant and mentorship support, and secure your first customers.
Be a life-long DIVEr, embodying the mindset of exploration and purposeful innovation
After your overseas innovation internships, students may return to the DIVE Residential Venture Community—a space for builders and changemakers to continue developing their ventures and values among peers.
