Basic Cyber Security Course

At iTrust, we schedule programmes around secondary and tertiary levels’ academic calendar. Term courses span across multiple terms, while vacation courses are intensive learning programmes held during the first three weeks of school holidays.

 

Our Basic Cyber Security Course is specially crafted for students eager to dip their toes into basic programming and cyber security. The 3-week course has three focus areas:

  1. Python programming
  2. Operational Technology (OT) security
    1. Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
    2. PLC Programming, SCADA, HMI
  3. Information Technology (IT) security
    1. Network Security
    2. Cryptography

 

 

Objectives and outcomes


At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Execute arithmetic operation using Python
  • Perform logical condition operations
  • Display input and outputs
  • Understand operational technologies (OT) control strategy states
  • Understand basic Cryptography
  • Decipher basic encryption

 

 

How to apply


Students are required to submit a letter of request (sample attached) from their school, with their email address and contact number to itrust@sutd.edu.sg. No stipend will be paid to students.
