Thunderflux – Heterogeneous Mobile As-Hoc Network – Connectivity, Robustness and Self-Organisation

The project aims to design an adaptive, high data-rate, robust, and energy efficient mobile tactical network with heterogeneous nodes. The project will develop a novel integrated and adaptive system that takes into account the heterogeneity of different wireless networks (different frequency bands and time-varying channels), resource constrained environment (limited power and frequency spectrum), and unpredictable operational time (uncertain military operations), and the heterogeneity of nodes (nodes can be soldiers, vehicles, or UAVs).
